Vintage Story 1.22.6 — Server Safety Patch #2
The stable release of Vintage Story 1.22.6 is now available for download through the Account Manager.
This update focuses on fixing additional in-game exploits that could be used for griefing and item duplication. Server owners are strongly encouraged to install the update as soon as possible. It also fixes a regression introduced in version 1.22.5 related to the Devastation Area.
What's Changed
- New: Added automatic banning for block break burst abuse when the server Anti-Abuse mode is enabled. Thresholds can be configured using
BufferSize,TriggerOnBlockBreakCount,TriggerOnDurationMs, andBlockBurstAbuseBanDays. - Improvement: Added the ability to restore deleted blocks from the
server-build.logfile for specific players using therestoreLogsFoldercommand-line argument. - Improvement: Community translations have been updated. Bulgarian has been added and Lithuanian localization has been fixed.
- Improvement: The player auction limit has been increased from 30 to 100. A new
maxAuctionsPerPlayerworld configuration option has also been added. - Fixed: Two additional griefing and duplication exploits.
- Fixed: The per-player auction limit now correctly enforces the new maximum of 100 auctions.
- Fixed: Players outside Creative Mode can no longer modify spawner data.
- Fixed: Resolved a network packet exploit that allowed players to place any block.
- Fixed: Improved claim validation for placed beams and addressed several minor issues.
- Fixed: Players can once again interact with objects in the Devastation Past dimension.
This update is highly recommended for all multiplayer servers to improve stability and security.
