What Advanced Geology adds
Advanced Geology replaces the standard ore-generation approach with a much broader system of deposits. More than 40 deposit types distribute new ores, minerals, and gems through a wider range of geological settings, while roughly a dozen additional rocks expand the terrain’s visual and material variety.
Searching still supports a process similar to vanilla density-mode prospecting, but exploration gains extra clues. Nuggets and gossan-like surface smears can point toward deposits, giving careful players reasons to inspect exposed ground instead of relying only on underground sampling.
The mod also changes where deposits may appear vertically. Some formations can reach cliff and mountain faces, so valuable material is not restricted to deep layers and geological context becomes useful when deciding where to mine.
