What Age Of Confession adds
Players can found a belief and connect Sanctuary Centers to it, turning settlements into organized communities with a shared spiritual identity. One belief may support several communities, while each center anchors its own local group.
Devotion is performed near an active sanctuary and gradually builds community strength. Stronger communities can provide healing, improved temporal stability, hunger relief, and protection from hostile forces within the sanctuary’s influence.
Communities weaken over time without attention. Regular participation keeps them alive, while abandoned centers can lose their bond and beliefs without living communities may eventually disappear. The system also creates reasons to defend settlements, decorate their centers, and cooperate with distant communities of the same belief.
