Why this mod is worth installing
This mod is mainly useful with Expanded Foods, where alcohol normally ages very slowly. It suits players who want faster production without constantly waiting for standard barrels.
What Aging Barrels adds
Aging Barrels introduces two containers designed around liquid curing. The aging cask stores 20 litres and doubles the normal aging speed, making it a practical option for smaller batches.
The aging tank holds 50 litres and multiplies the curing rate tenfold. Its strong effect is balanced by a costly recipe using steel plates and steel nails and strips, while both containers require a hammer for crafting.
The mod can also affect yogurt, even though its main purpose is speeding up alcohol aging. In the base game it has little value on its own, so its role is most apparent when Expanded Foods is installed.
