Why this mod is worth installing
Useful for players tracking climate changes, planning crops, or monitoring a location without keeping manual notes. It is especially handy when temperature data must be preserved while relocating the device.
What Self-Recording Thermometer adds
Craft the thermometer from a log, any metal nugget, and four sticks, then place it where you want to monitor conditions. It records a reading at regular intervals, with one in-game hour used by default.
Interact with the placed thermometer to view a report containing the recorded daily low and high temperatures. Breaking the block normally removes its stored history.
To relocate it without losing measurements, copy the data onto parchment or four dry grasses, then apply the recorded chart paper to another thermometer. The materials are returned when the chart is used.
With FreedomUnits installed, readings can be displayed in Fahrenheit; the mod also provides commands for choosing the temperature unit manually.
