Alchemistry is a Vintage Story mod by Moby_. Alchemistry connects Alchemy potions to Lavoisier equipment, replacing most liquid potion crafting with retort-based chemical processing.
Why this mod is worth installing
This addon is for players who want Alchemy potions to require a more involved laboratory workflow instead of the regular crafting method. It is especially useful in technology-focused worlds using Lavoisier.
What Alchemistry adds
Alchemistry is an integration addon rather than a standalone potion system. It requires Lavoisier, A Culinary Artillery and Alchemy, then redirects medium and strong liquid potion production to Lavoisier chemistryware.
The process begins with potion tea prepared by simmering a potion tea base in a saucepan or cauldron with two litres of water. Weak potion bases can then be distilled with one litre of potion tea through a boiling flask and retort neck.
Strong potions use a longer chain with a reflux column, condenser and dissolver, including aqua vitae in the dissolver. Utility potions follow a boiling flask, reflux column and retort neck route.
Processing is deliberately slow: a litre may take roughly two to ten minutes, and the whole batch can appear inactive while it is being processed. Regular potion crafting is disabled for most recipes, although weak potions remain possible in a barrel at a much slower pace.
