What Ancient Armory adds
Ancient Armory brings dormant vanilla weapon models into normal gameplay. The weapons receive crafting recipes, adjusted proportions, revised damage and durability, and handling changes intended to fit Vintage Story’s combat and visual style.
The collection includes restored weapon types plus the author’s longsword and falchion. Some arms have custom first-person presentation or animations, while forging shapes, icons, holding positions, and handbook entries are refined for a more coherent experience.
Axes are deliberately slower at cutting wood and plants, with their damage tuned separately. Most weapons can also be mounted on an elk using custom display models, while knives and spears are excluded from that feature.
Optional Combat Overhaul variants provide directional attacks and separate balance approaches: one changes the base combat feel, while the other follows the weapon distinctions used by Ancient Armory more closely.
