What Ancient Weaponry adds
Ancient Weaponry introduces four melee choices: the heavy two-handed Zweihander, the extended Hasta spear, the fast Cutlass, and the Lucerne hammer polearm. Each weapon is tuned around a different combat role rather than simply adding stronger versions of existing tools.
The Zweihander reaches far and hits hard but swings slowly. The Hasta has more reach and a higher attack tier than the standard spear, though it cannot be thrown. The Cutlass favors quick strikes with reduced damage, while the Lucerne hammer attacks rapidly and offers a particularly high attack tier.
Weapons can be made and improved through survival gameplay, including crafting, smithing, and quenching. Material and decorative options vary by weapon: Zweihanders support iron, meteoric iron, and several steel finishes; Hasta versions include wooden and metal forms; Cutlasses follow most Falx material types; and the Lucerne hammer is limited to steel finishes.
