What Archering adds
Arrows travel exactly toward the crosshair, but drawing a bow shifts the aim according to its weight. After the bow is fully drawn, the sight continues to sway, so keeping a target lined up requires active correction.
Movement, jumping, and sprinting make control much harder. Sneaking or sprinting can be used to hold the player's breath and steady the aim temporarily, but exhausting the breath meter causes a longer recovery period.
Bows now have more distinct roles through different draw times, draw weights, damage, and projectile speed. Heavier bows send arrows faster with less drop, while longbows, recurve bows, simple bows, and crude bows occupy noticeably different positions in progression.
Arrows scale their damage with the bow instead of adding the same fixed bonus to every weapon. Break chances are reduced, fully drawn arrows can be denocked with a left click, and a brief draw indicator helps identify when a shot is ready.
The fully drawn bow now sways continuously, so even a stationary target may require manual aim correction. Holding your breath temporarily steadies the view, but the breath meter needs time to recover after it is depleted.
Design and description
Bow and arrow statistics are rebalanced: arrow damage scales with the bow instead of using the same fixed addition, and fully drawn arrows can be removed with a left click if the target disappears.
