What At Waters Edge adds
At Waters Edge adds a propagation method for cattails and papyrus. Use a knife on suitable roots in the crafting grid to split them, then plant the resulting pieces near water. New plants begin in a sprouting state rather than becoming immediately harvestable.
The growth cycle separates sprouting, harvested, and fully grown stages. Sprouting reeds cannot provide more roots, preventing an instant infinite loop, while the harvested stage can eventually yield complete roots for further planting. Growth durations can be adjusted, including whether the configured days per month influence the timer.
