Useful for players building automated resource-processing lines who want to replace repeated manual panning with a powered setup. It is especially valuable when a windmill or another strong mechanical source can keep several blocks processing.
What Auto-Sifter adds
The auto-sifter is powered by mechanical power and accepts pannable blocks placed above it. It scans upward through the stack, processes the blocks from the top, and releases obtained items beneath the machine, where a player or hopper can collect them.
Processing speed follows the available mechanical power and uses a helvehammer-like calculation. The machine still consumes power while idle, but at a reduced rate, so a clutch is useful for shutting it down when the input stack is empty.
Its chain determines how many blocks the machine can support: Bronze handles one, Iron two, Meteoric four, and Steel eight. If the chain breaks, the materials are not lost, but the chain must be remade before the sifter can operate again.
