What Bacon Bacon Bacon adds
Harvesting pigs can provide raw bacon instead of as much red meat. From there, you can cook it in a fire pit or clay oven, leave it longer for crispy bacon, cure it in a salt barrel, or smoke it using a smoking rack.
The mod adds several ways to process bacon further. Dry cooked bacon can be prepared by hammering or pressing cooked bacon, while bacon grease comes from the fruit press and can later solidify into a block. Other recipes include honey-coated candied bacon and bacon infused with aqua vitae.
Bacon also becomes a wrapping for red meat, poultry, and bushmeat, and can be turned into poultices for emergency healing. Bacon grease works as a soup base, while cooking lets you make a large bacon pie and a sweet-and-savory bacon jam with dry bacon, onions, fruit, and honey.
