What Battle Towers adds

Spawners keep the climb under pressure: enemies can continue appearing, especially while you spend time inside. Torches are an important tactical tool because lighting a spawner can disable it and reduce further waves.
Underground towers follow a steadier difficulty curve and provide more consistent rewards, but they are not safe alternatives. Their spawners react more strongly to light and can produce several entities at once, making cramped passages dangerous.
