Why this mod is worth installing

This obsolete mod is useful only for older Vintage Story versions that do not yet include the beehive kiln. It suits pottery-focused players who need batch firing.

What Beehive Kiln [OBSOLETE] adds

Beehive Kiln adds a large multiblock kiln intended for pottery production after the early pit-kiln stage. You build the structure, load it with unfired ceramic items, seal it, and heat it with a firepit beneath the kiln.

The kiln can hold raw pottery on its floor and on shelves placed inside. A flue provides useful status information: its block details can reveal construction problems and show the current temperature while the kiln is heating.

Once firing temperature is reached, the kiln must remain closed for six in-game hours. Opening the door, breaking part of the structure, or otherwise losing heat resets the firing process; completed firing lets you break open the kiln and collect the finished items.

The structure has a serious safety hazard: entering the larger walkable kiln at firing temperature is rapidly fatal. Some kiln bricks may also be damaged after firing and need replacement, depending on the mod's settings.
