What Better Hoe adds
Better Hoe adds selectable modes activated with the tool-mode key. The regular left-click hoe behavior remains available, while the added modes let you work on paths with a right-click hold over a dirt block.
Dirt Path mode creates walkable dirt paths, including stair sections. Stone Path mode consumes stones from your inventory and can transform suitable dirt, sand, or gravel areas into stone paths, including stairs.
The resulting paths provide movement bonuses: dirt paths are faster than ordinary ground, while stone paths use the familiar vanilla-style speed values. The mod is a focused building tweak rather than a replacement for broad ploughing systems.

The player holds the tool-mode key to choose a Better Hoe action before working on the ground.
