What Better Loot adds
Better Loot replaces the usual hostile-creature rewards with tiered drop tables. Surface enemies mainly provide basic supplies such as flint, clay, sticks, fibers, and small metal fragments, while stronger variants introduce better metals, obsidian, salt, and fire clay.
The reward curve follows enemy difficulty and depth. Tainted and Corrupt creatures can yield alloy or iron bits, rusty gears, gear parts, and flax twine, while Nightmare enemies add gold bits and Jonas parts alongside a higher chance of valuable mechanical loot.
Aberrations and other boss-tier creatures offer the richest payouts, including multiple Temporal Gears, several rusty gears, gold bits, Jonas parts, and extra materials. Bowtorns can also provide bone arrows, with larger quantities appearing on the toughest encounters.
