Bone Broth is a Vintage Story mod by Nico_Nico_Nyx. Bone Broth adds standalone cooking-pot broths made from bones, vegetables, meat, poultry, and fish for more filling soups.

Why this mod is worth installing
Useful for players who want a broader food-preservation and cooking loop without installing Expanded Foods. It also gives surplus ingredients a practical role in hearty soups.
What Bone Broth adds
Bone Broth is a standalone food mod centered on liquid broths made in cooking pots. Recipes use water together with bones or bonemeal, vegetables, cooked poultry, cooked redmeat or bushmeat, and cooked fish. Each result is a separate liquid that can be stored in barrels, helping preserve it for longer.
Broth can replace water in soup recipes. The finished meal gains additional satiety: bone, chicken, fish, and meat broths contribute protein value, while vegetable broth contributes vegetable satiety. Vegetable broth yields more liquid but is balanced with a slightly lower bonus.
The recipes encourage different preparation choices. Poultry and fish produce more broth per cooked piece, while meat and bushmeat must be cooked before they can be turned into broth, adding a fuel cost. The mod is designed to work on its own rather than duplicate systems from Expanded Foods and Culinary Artillery.
A note explains that Bone Broth is intended to provide broth recipes without Expanded Foods and Culinary Artillery, since using both systems may create duplicate recipes or conflicts.

Future plans
The planned direction mentions hydration support for Hydrate and Dierate, along with possible additions such as mushroom or rust-themed broth.
