What Bookends adds
Bookends are made as matching left-and-right pairs, so a row of books is framed at both ends. There are nine designs in total, and each can be produced in copper, tin, zinc, lead, brass, molybdochalkos, gold, platinum or uranium.
The plain and patterned pairs can be forged at an anvil from an ingot of the chosen metal. Seven additional designs are sold by a specialist trader in clearly labeled boxes; place a box on the ground and break it to receive both matching halves.
The bookends can rest on shelves, cabinets, window sills and other furniture surfaces rather than being limited to the floor. The same trader also offers bookshelves made from all twelve vanilla wood types, while its prices vary according to the metal.
