This mod suits players who enjoy berry bushes but find their vanilla growth, fertilizer demands, and harvests too restrictive. It is also useful for tailoring berry production to a preferred playstyle through configuration.
What Buff Berries adds
Buff Berries changes berry bushes without applying the same alterations to fruit trees. Bushes reach maturity sooner, move through flowering and fruiting stages more quickly, and can continue growing in warmer weather because their growth pause threshold is raised from 30°C to 40°C.
Fruit production uses less fertilizer, while harvesting generally provides more berries. Strawberries and cloudberries receive a larger yield as well, avoiding the especially small harvests they normally provide.
The mod also adds configurable preservation behavior for fruit stored in vessels. Bush fruit can remain usable for roughly 22 days in a cellar, cranberries for about 44 days, while tree fruit may last from one to four years depending on the configured values. Cutting cooldowns and vessel spoilage settings are intended to be adjustable through the required configuration library.
