Bulk Molds is a Vintage Story mod by AmethystZhou. Bulk Molds adds five casting molds for producing ingots, chute sections, rods, arrowheads, and nails in larger batches.
Why this mod is worth installing
This mod is useful for players who regularly process large amounts of metal and want casting to reduce repetitive smithing. It is especially helpful for workshops producing ammunition parts, building components, or stockpiled ingots.
What Bulk Molds adds
The mod introduces five molds designed around common metalworking tasks. The ingot mold casts four ingots from 400 units of molten metal, while the chute-section mold turns three copper ingots into four copper chute sections.
The rod mold produces four rods from four ingots, matching the normal smithing ratio. Arrowhead casting yields 24 arrowheads from two ingots, and the nail mold produces 12 nails from the same amount, making both small parts faster to prepare in bulk.
Output ratios are based on the voxel volume of the corresponding vanilla smithing shapes rather than arbitrary batch sizes. Vanilla clay color variants are supported, while only copper is accepted for the chute-section mold.
Arrowhead and nail molds fit in the vanilla vertical rack. The other three molds are thicker and cannot be stored there; any mold containing molten metal may crack when exposed to rain or a watering can.
