Fauna of the Stone Age: Caninae is a Vintage Story mod by Tentharchitect. Fauna of the Stone Age: Caninae adds diverse foxes, wolves, South American dogs and domestic dogs with breeding, taming and collectible pelts.

Why this mod is worth installing
This mod suits players who want more believable canine wildlife, varied threats around farms and a long-term path from feeding wild animals to raising a dog companion.
What Fauna of the Stone Age: Caninae adds
The pack replaces the usual fox and wolf spawns with members of several canine groups. Foxes generally avoid hunting the player, while gray, arctic and dire wolves remain dangerous pursuers; other wolves are more likely to flee and defend themselves only when cornered or injured.
Foxes and South American dogs can be attracted with suitable food left on the ground, then bred over generations. Canine animals have individual diets and breeding requirements, so establishing a tame line takes preparation rather than a single interaction.
Gray wolf pups can be raised into semi-tamed adults, and breeding those animals may produce domestic dogs. These dogs follow their owner, bark and help against dangerous creatures, although injuries can make them temporarily flee.
Every species provides a distinctive pelt for hide and taxidermy mounts. Population limits and runtime-only spawning keep the added wildlife more manageable, while special carcasses can suppress local canine spawns until removed.
