Chunk Stability Override is a Vintage Story mod by Cho. Chunk Stability Override lets you change temporal stability globally or for individual chunks, making safe zones or dangerous areas.
Why this mod is worth installing
Useful when a valuable location has poor stability, or when you want to design areas that rapidly drain a player's temporal stability. Server owners can restrict changes with a privilege.
What Chunk Stability Override adds
The mod changes the natural temporal stability modifier for the chunk you are standing in or for the whole world. Positive values make an area more stable, while negative values increase the danger; ordinary situations usually need only a small adjustment.
Chunk-specific settings take priority over a global override. This makes it possible to keep most of the world unchanged while turning selected locations into protected bases, unstable regions, or deliberate traps.
Temporal storms ignore these modifiers, so storm behavior remains intact. The mod also provides a way to inspect the current world and chunk adjustments, while dedicated servers can protect the setting behind the “stab” privilege.
