Flow Field Collisions is a Vintage Story mod by YangWenLi. Flow Field Collisions is a developer library for linking many blocks into one large, responsive collision shape.

Why this mod is worth installing
This dependency is useful for mod authors building huge, irregular or multi-block structures that vanilla collisions cannot represent cleanly. It is not intended to provide visible features on its own.
What Flow Field Collisions adds
The library uses a flow-field relationship between ordinary blocks. Each cell points toward a source, allowing many separate pieces to behave as one extended collision object without requiring the engine to treat them as a single oversized block.
When part of the structure changes, information can travel back through the field and update the connected cells. This is suited to long rails, unusual shapes and other constructions that exceed the practical limits of standard block collisions.
The approach keeps the stored collision pieces lightweight, while shifting work to the processor when the field is created or modified. For compact rectangular objects, the built-in multi-block system remains the better choice.
Back-Propagated Flow Field Collisions
The screenshot introduces the library as a specialized solution for unusual collision behavior. It is intended as a dependency for other mods rather than a standalone gameplay addition.

Why Use BPFFC Over Multi-Block
This diagram explains a flow field as a grid whose cells point toward the most direct route to a target. Following those directions leads through the field toward the shared source.

How To Use
The screenshot presents the basic usage section for mod developers. The library is added as a dependency and then integrated into a project that needs extended collision handling.
