Why this mod is worth installing
This mod suits builders who want more characterful, insulated windows than the standard glass slabs provide. It is especially useful for detailed cottages and timber homes.
What Cottage Windows (DISCONTINUED) adds
The mod introduces eight core window shapes: square, paned, tall square, tall paned, wide square, wide paned, modular square, and modular paned. Their slab-thickness models work in both thin slab walls and ordinary full-block walls, giving builders more freedom when shaping openings.
Every design can be crafted from the available wood types, including aged wood, and paired with different glass variants. Leaded panes add another decorative option and require lead materials, while larger windows are assembled from separate blocks and therefore take more resources.
All Cottage Windows are insulated, so rooms retain their temperature in cold regions. The large number of wood-and-glass combinations creates a broad palette for matching windows to a cottage’s frame, roof, and interior style.
An optional BrickLayers-compatible branch expands the glass choices with materials from that mod. The trade-off is a much larger block set, which can increase world loading times.
