Dana Tweaks is a Vintage Story mod by DanaCraluminum and SaltyWater. Dana Tweaks bundles 50+ configurable quality-of-life and hardcore changes, from door behavior and planting to storage, crafting, and survival rules.

Why this mod is worth installing
This compilation suits players who want to fine-tune everyday mechanics without installing many small mods. It is also useful for servers that need stricter survival rules or more convenient building and storage.
What Dana Tweaks adds
Dana Tweaks is a configurable compilation rather than one single gameplay system. Its options cover small interactions that can otherwise become repetitive: dropped tree seeds may be planted automatically, connected trapdoors can open together, and slab placement can follow automatic, horizontal, or vertical rules.
Storage and building receive several practical adjustments. Crate lids and labels can be controlled with shortcuts or commands, automatic closing can be prevented while holding Ctrl, and metal blocks or torch holders can be broken down into metal bits.
The collection also changes survival and crafting details. Firepits can heat ovens, planks can be used in pit kilns, firestarters can be placed on racks, and cheese can be waxed on the ground. Other switches affect resin and vine drops, book signing, waterproof or heat-resistant inventories, and whether hunger wakes a sleeping character.
Some options alter danger and interaction rules: drifters may open doors unless they are secured with vanilla padlocks, while creative players can use the middle mouse button on an entity to receive its spawn item. Each individual tweak can be left enabled or disabled to build a preferred ruleset.
