What Deep Storage Chest adds
Deep Storage Chest is a small food-storage container with three inventory slots. Its purpose is not to replace cellars or large food stores, but to keep a limited emergency supply available for later.
Food placed inside spoils at only a tiny fraction of the usual rate: the spoilage factor is reduced to 0.01 for all supported food types. This makes the chest especially suitable for backup meals that might otherwise rot while the player is away.
Because its capacity is deliberately low, the chest works best as a convenience item rather than a complete preservation system. Using many of them can significantly reduce the importance of ordinary food-storage planning on a server.
