Dense Ground Storage is a Vintage Story mod by Queltis. Dense Ground Storage expands floor storage from four slots to a fine 16×16 grid, with rotation and placement on flat chiseled surfaces.

Why this mod is worth installing
Useful for players who want denser, more realistic floor displays, custom shelves, and better use of chiseled building details.
What Dense Ground Storage adds
Dense Ground Storage replaces the standard 2×2 placement area with a 16×16 grid. Items occupy space according to their footprint: small bowls use less room than crocks or cooking pots, allowing a surface to hold many more objects when arranged carefully.
Items can be rotated in 15-degree increments, with an on-surface outline and facing arrow helping you preview the result. Angled objects occupy every grid cell they touch, so diagonal layouts require more room.
The mod also supports flat areas carved into chiseled blocks, enabling custom shelves and display surfaces. The surface must be at least 3×3, and tall objects need enough vertical clearance; stored items must be removed before reshaping the block.
Books can be displayed flat or upright, while pit kilns retain their four-item limit for balance. A toggle lets you switch back to vanilla placement, and dedicated-key mode keeps Shift and Ctrl available for their normal functions.
