What Truth and Beauty: Detailed Animals adds
Animals track food intake, weight, and diet quality. Herbivores can graze, pigs can root through soil, and suitable food can be offered by hand, in troughs, or on the ground. Young mammals nurse before gradually switching to solid food, while each species has its own balance of fiber, protein, and other nutrients.
Breeding is slower and more involved, with heat cycles and a stronger emphasis on maintaining a diverse breeding group. Chickens inherit one of ten plumage colors, goats can inherit a hornless trait, and wolves can inherit black coats. The mod also adjusts animal size-related health and butchering yields, enables breeding for most species, and adds partial or full taming through repeated feeding.
