What DRT AgX Kraken - Shader adds
DRT AgX Kraken changes how the rendered image is converted for display. AgX tone mapping keeps bright areas under control while reshaping midtones, so sunlight and other intense sources can look less blown out. The result deliberately makes caves and moonless surfaces much darker, while retaining more detail in those shadows than the vanilla presentation.
The mod adds an in-game panel opened with the O key. Min EV and Max EV define the usable dynamic range, Grey Point moves the brightness and contrast pivot, and Exposure works like photographic exposure. Auto exposure can adapt between dark and bright locations, with separate limits for direct sunlight and extremely dark areas; reset buttons restore the author's intended values.
Sheydermod's volumetric scattering is applied across the sky, and its effects are composited before the display transform so they benefit from the AgX processing. God rays are handled by the shader setup and can be disabled if their appearance is not wanted. The package is a dependency-based graphics tweak: version 1.4.0 and newer requires Sheydermod, and it is not intended to work alone.
