Dumbwaiter is a Vintage Story mod by Feyd. Dumbwaiter adds a linked medieval lift for riding between floors or sending a single chest, basket, or vessel through a vertical shaft.

What Dumbwaiter adds
Dumbwaiter uses two stations connected by a Rope Link. Once paired, stepping onto one platform and activating the lever sends a rider to the other station with a short transition featuring chain, pulley, and wooden lift sounds.
The same system can transport a chest, basket, or storage vessel without a passenger. One container travels per trip, and it must be collected at the destination before another delivery can arrive.
The stations support vertical separation of up to 250 blocks and a small horizontal offset, allowing slightly angled shafts. The route must remain clear, the destination must be loaded and unobstructed, and each station prevents simultaneous riders.
Travel and arrival delays scale with distance, while the generated configuration can adjust range, offsets, timing, sound volume, and the optional screen fade.
