Electrical Progressive: Core is a Vintage Story mod by tehtelev, Kotl and Auto_Yoba. Electrical Progressive: Core is the server-side logic library powering electricity, cables, voltage networks, losses, overloads, and electrical hazards in compatible mods.
Why this mod is worth installing
Install it when another Electrical Progressive module requires the core library. By itself it adds no usable machines or tools, but it supplies the calculations that make those modules work.
What Electrical Progressive: Core adds
Electrical Progressive: Core runs electricity calculations on the server and supports multithreading. Networks can use several voltage levels, transfer energy through packets, account for cable losses, and favor the shortest route; unloaded chunks do not simulate active electricity.
Cables have different conductivity values and can burn out under excessive load. The library also supports network inspection through an information view, transformer-based voltage changes, generators whose shaft load follows consumption, and rotational inertia that softens sudden demand spikes.
Electrical hazards are part of the simulation: exposed live wires and electrified hedges can injure living entities, while water contact may destroy devices. A solid-fuel generator is also supported, giving dependent content a broader power-production foundation.
