What Elk Physics Overhaul (1.22 Update!) adds
The overhaul changes how elk interact with terrain instead of letting them climb surfaces in a spider-like way. Moving between different elevations becomes smoother, so slopes and uneven ground are less likely to produce abrupt or strange movement.
Mounted elk now need enough overhead clearance to move forward. This prevents the rider’s head from effectively pushing through incoming blocks, but it also means narrow tunnels and low overhangs must be approached with more care.
Leaves no longer interfere with elk movement, making rides through wooded areas less tedious. The changes are focused on elk physics and are intended to remain close to the normal performance cost of the game.
