Emotes

Emotes

Emotes is a Vintage Story mod by SiiMeR and W4RD0. Emotes adds expressive character animations to Vintage Story, including social, idle, combat and paired interactions.

Why this mod is worth installing

This mod suits roleplay servers and players who want clearer nonverbal communication. It is also useful for adding personality to greetings, idle moments and interactions.

What Emotes adds

Emotes opens a dedicated menu with Shift+J, while the /emotes command provides another way to access the system. Vanilla animations appear in their own category alongside the added options.

The selection includes bows, salutes, handshakes, prayer, sitting and lying poses, relaxed idle stances, and several leaning animations that can align a character with a nearby tall wall.

Paired emotes let two players perform an interaction together. Start one while looking at another player, then the target can accept or decline the request from chat; acceptance is limited to a short distance.

Most animations remain active until an action such as moving, sprinting, crouching, mounting, sitting, or clicking interrupts them. While an emote plays, Combat Overhaul animations are temporarily disabled.
