This mod is useful for players who regularly search recipes or want to organize a large handbook into personal categories. It is especially helpful when many wood, stone, or modded item variants make the default lists difficult to browse.
What Enhanced Handbook adds
Enhanced Handbook replaces the basic handbook browsing experience with faster, more flexible search. Partial words are supported, so entering part of a term can still find the relevant page, while searches can also target mod identifiers or item code names with the percent prefix. Results are focused on titles by default, making broad searches easier to scan.
Personal organization is the main feature. You can create, rename, and remove categories, then place handbook pages into them by dragging entries from the search results or page icons. A special Everything (Groups) category collects many wood and stone variants into compact group pages, reducing repetitive entries.
Bookmarks work as a separate tab for frequently used pages. Groups can be created from similar variants, named manually, expanded again when needed, and adjusted through drag-and-drop. The .setupbook command opens the mod's settings, including options for default categories and prepared category sets.
