What Equus: Wild Horses adds
Ferus horses appear in regular herds or smaller bachelor groups. Their sturdy build draws on Eurasian wild and feral horses, while several coat possibilities are handled through Genelib genetics and the animals develop through different age stages.
The horses are wary rather than immediately cooperative. You can lure them with food or drive them into a fenced enclosure or pit, then tame them through repeated riding attempts.
A tamed Ferus needs its own saddle and bridle for riding, although vanilla saddle blankets and saddlebags remain useful. A medallion lets you bind the horse to a Jaunt Flute, which can then call it from a distance; the ordinary bone flute is not used for this purpose.
