Extreme Weathers [ALPHA] is a Vintage Story mod by Tiggetagg. Extreme Weathers adds severe blizzards, sandstorms, hurricanes, monsoons, heat waves and cold snaps that reshape survival.

Choose it if ordinary seasons are too forgiving and you want shelter, clothing, crops and fire to matter during dangerous weather.

What Extreme Weathers [ALPHA] adds

Extreme Weathers turns familiar weather into serious survival threats. Hurricanes can rattle doors and windows, extinguish exposed fires, push entities and loose items, topple trees, and damage fragile construction. Monsoons bring heavy rain, dripping effects, crop damage and gradual rotting of exposed planks.

Blizzards can bury structures beneath unusually deep snow while sharply reducing visibility and adding cold details such as frozen streams, icicles and snow-covered foliage. Heat waves dry farmland and crops, while cold snaps freeze running water and make immersion dangerously chilling.

Desert regions can be hit by sandstorms that darken the sky, obscure the landscape and drive abrasive sand through exposed areas. The mod is aimed at a vanilla-friendly but much harsher world; structural destruction is optional and disabled by default.

IMPORTANT NOTE

Some weather events can destroy structures, although destruction is disabled by default. The mod is in alpha, so expect unfinished behavior and use it with care.
