Forgotten Armory: Core is a Vintage Story mod by AladarCZ. Forgotten Armory: Core is the shared crafting foundation for Forgotten Armory armor mods, adding schematics, metal coatings, trims, rivets, and decorations.
Why this mod is worth installing
Install it if you use Forgotten Armory 2.0 armor collections and want to customize their appearance through shared crafting stations. It is a core dependency rather than a standalone armor set.
What Forgotten Armory: Core adds
Forgotten Armory: Core adds a progression for discovering armor schematics. Dusty Armor Scrolls found in ruins or bought from Treasure Traders can be decoded with a Deciphering Table, turning blank parchment into specific armor plans.
Its workshop systems focus on visual customization. A Cauldron filled with sulphuric acid can apply a second metal layer to suitable armor, while a Hemming Crane adds forged rims and rivets made from permitted metal plates.
The Decoration Station provides another layer of personalization through colored cloth and feather ornaments. Its slots and modes support different helmet, chest, and leg armor details, including crests, plumes, insignia, fasteners, mantles, and other themed fittings.
