This mod suits players who use fireplaces often, build decorative hearths, or want to reduce the amount of wood needed for home heating. It is also useful for fine-tuning fuel behavior to match a preferred playstyle.
What Seasoned Firewood adds
Seasoned firewood is made by preparing logs with a knife and allowing them to cure over time. The alternative is to seal the prepared wood with wax, resin, or fat, giving players a faster production route when those materials are available.
Compared with ordinary firewood, the seasoned version burns for roughly seven times longer but produces less heat, around 500 °C. That makes it especially practical for fireplaces used mainly for atmosphere, comfort, and decorative interiors rather than demanding high-temperature processing.
An optional aging mechanic can turn seasoned firewood into aged firewood, creating a hotter and more efficient fuel. The mod also allows curing periods, burn times, temperatures, aging, and vanilla firewood behavior to be adjusted, while the default setup leaves ordinary firewood unchanged.
