What Good Hunting adds
Good Hunting changes the relationship between an animal’s health and the resources obtained from it. Tougher creatures generally yield more red meat, while additional bush meat represents extra muscle; slower, sturdier animals can also provide more fat. Fish receive fat and improved knife-work yields, helping them serve as a more dependable source of this scarce resource.
Small animals are less durable, so a successful arrow hit is more decisive for creatures such as rabbits. The mod also distinguishes drops by species more carefully, including appropriate hides for raccoons and foxes, medium hides from mouflons, and large rewards from elder pigs.
The rebalance covers a broad range of wildlife and aquatic creatures. Female and male animals may have different health and drop values, while special cases such as hyenas, coral fish, moose calves, gazelles, and several fish types receive their own adjustments.
