Heatproof Bricks is a Vintage Story mod by brayanluc. Heatproof Bricks makes firebricks, kiln doors, and refractory gratings far more resistant to heat, including unbreakable tier 3 blocks.
Why this mod is worth installing
This mod is for players tired of repeatedly repairing advanced refractory structures after high-temperature use. It is especially useful in established worlds with frequent kiln and furnace production.
What Heatproof Bricks adds
Heatproof Bricks adjusts the heat-damage resistance of ordinary firebricks and refractory bricks across all three tiers. Basic bricks become considerably tougher, while tier 1 and tier 2 materials approach complete protection from heat damage.
Tier 3 refractory bricks receive full resistance, so they no longer break from heat. The same protection changes apply to tier 1–3 kiln doors and refractory brick gratings, making complete kiln assemblies much less demanding to maintain.
The resistance values can be changed through an in-game configuration interface when a supported configuration library is available. This lets players keep the default balance or fine-tune the protection to suit their preferred level of convenience.
