This mod suits players who want autumn landscapes to affect daily survival, farming, fire safety, and exploration. It is especially useful alongside Deciduous Trees, but works independently.
What Leaf Litter adds
During autumn, deciduous canopies create litter beneath them, with accumulation shaped by local conditions. New areas can load with seasonal ground cover, while fireflies may gather around the piles.
A craftable rake can pull leaves into heaps, pack them into denser layers, harvest fruit more quickly, or clear grass and uncover worms. Leaf piles can be jumped into, burned, composted, or placed on farmland to slow moisture loss and provide a small nutrient boost.
Natural litter gradually decays in spring and can transform the soil below into forest floor. Player-made piles and decorative placements remain in place, while exposed litter can be covered by snow.
