Logging Expanded is a Vintage Story mod by Exmortis. Logging Expanded turns tree harvesting into a staged woodworking process with trunks, transport storage, debarking, sawing, splitting, and resin extraction.

Why this mod is worth installing
Choose it if ordinary axe harvesting feels too easy and you want forestry to require planning, transport, infrastructure, and progression through better workstations.
What Logging Expanded adds
Felled trees become Trunks that contain the harvested timber. They must be debarked before processing; you can work them on the ground for reduced output or move them to a workstation for better results. Carrying trunks uses a bag slot by default, while carts and the Trunk Storage Rack make larger forestry operations practical.
Woodworking advances through four workstation tiers. Primitive tools provide limited plank yields, while the standard Sawhorse restores vanilla-like returns and iron-age advanced stations improve efficiency beyond the normal baseline. Splitting also produces firewood and support beams in its own ratios.
The mod adds dedicated storage for trunks and sticks, with racks that visibly show their contents and can be loaded into compatible carts. Pine and Acacia trunks can be heated to extract resin, adding another reason to process specific tree types.
Workstations and storage are assembled in the world rather than through the crafting grid. Their construction and processing rules are documented in the Vintage Story handbook, with early setups using ground storage as part of the build.
