Medieval expansion patch is a Vintage Story mod by Elocrypt. Medieval expansion patch restores medieval building parts and mechanical features while fixing recipes, airtight gates, flumes, cellar ice, and creature behavior.

Why this mod is worth installing
This standalone continuation is for players who want portcullises, drawbridges, gates, floor plates, and waterwheel power in a medieval-themed build. Use it instead of the original Medieval expansion.
What Medieval expansion patch adds
The mod adds several defensive and architectural mechanisms for castles and fortified settlements. Portcullises come in sizes from 3x3 to 5x5, while drawbridges range from 3x4 to 5x7; gates are available in 3x3, 4x4, and 5x5 formats.
Waterwheels provide mechanical power through breastshot, undershot, and overshot arrangements. Floor plates can trigger vanilla doors, portcullises, and gates, making entrances open or close automatically as players move through them.
This patched standalone release also addresses practical problems in the original content. Gates count as airtight room boundaries, flumes can be placed and used without crashes, cellar ice avoids texture problems, and repair kits use corrected recipes.
Aurochs receive a functional placeholder attack animation, and their spawning has been rebalanced. The patch is intended as a compatibility-focused continuation rather than a separate overhaul of the medieval feature set.
