What The Mighty Walnut adds
Walnuts appear as drops from walnut tree leaves when the tree is broken or felled. Once collected, they can be cracked open and eaten directly, providing a useful food option with a focus on protein.
Cracked walnuts can replace peanuts in recipes that accept them, while roasting improves their flavor and satiation. This makes the harvest useful both as a quick snack and as an ingredient for prepared meals.
When Expanded Foods is installed, walnut trees can also be tapped for sap. Boiling that sap produces syrup and extends the ingredient into additional Expanded Foods recipes, including recipes that normally use peanuts.
