What Minerz - An additional miner class adds
Minerz introduces the miner class with a mix of useful and risky traits. Underground rooms reduce hunger drain by 15%, while stability decreases 12.5% more slowly. The Real Miner trait increases mining speed by 20% and ore drops by 40%, but raises hunger rate by 25%; Coal Lung removes two health points.
The class has dedicated equipment for underground work. Mining helmets provide light in dark areas, the larger mining bag holds more items, and the reinforced pickaxe offers faster work with improved durability. A reinforced prospecting pick is also available for locating deposits.
Prospecting gains several new approaches, including ore-location results covering eight blocks and searches over small 16-block or larger 32-block areas. A large ore-blasting bomb adds another way to clear or work through mining sites.
Handle materials affect tool performance. Oak improves durability and speed over a standard pickaxe, walnut trades some durability for greater speed, and ebony provides the strongest overall values; redwood and pine attributes are unfinished.
