Molds is a Vintage Story mod by MrFlame and Electrified. Molds adds casting forms for batches of ingots, tools, weapons, parts, and other metal items in Vintage Story.
Why this mod is worth installing
This mod suits players who want to reduce repetitive metalworking and cast several related items at once. It is especially useful for workshops producing tools, arrowheads, nails, chains, and building components.
What Molds adds
Molds expands the casting system with forms for four or eight ingots, scythe and knife blades, two chisels, a wrench, a spearhead, nails and strips, nine arrowheads, shears, saw blades, plates, and four chutes. A dedicated chain-ring mold also supports making chainmail fabric.
The batch-oriented forms make large production runs more convenient, but the shortcut has a cost. Chain rings and chainmail use more metal than a fully manual approach, while their crafting process causes considerable hammer wear.
The mod also lets whole ingots be added to the crucible and provides flint chisels, a flint scythe, and a wooden hammer for chiseling tasks. Its optional forms and recipes can be managed through the supported configuration interface, allowing a server administrator to keep only the additions the world needs.
