What NDL Villagers adds
A Town Center defines the settlement and gathers nearby beds, allowing villagers to appear as the town grows. The covered area can be adjusted, so you can plan a compact village or a larger city around the center.
Different NPC roles give the settlement practical functions. Guards fight hostile creatures, clerics heal villagers and guards, while lumberjacks, miners, and farmers generate resources; blacksmiths and other laborers process them.
Traders are summoned by placing a crafted top hat in a suitable registered room inside the town. The room needs a nearby lantern, table, and bed, and another trader must not be too close. After the conditions are met, the arrival happens after a variable wait.
