What Noisy Bears adds
Noisy Bears changes bear behavior by increasing the chance that a wandering bear will growl while idle. The animals therefore announce their presence more often instead of remaining almost completely silent.
A bear standing on two legs always produces a growl, and this sound carries farther than the usual bear noises. It is slightly shorter-ranged than a wolf howl, but can still be heard beyond the distance at which a bear normally becomes aggressive when the surroundings are quiet.
The audio is deliberately restrained rather than excessively loud. Bears can also trigger several growls close together, which may sound abrupt and can briefly make one animal seem like multiple bears. Sleeping bears remain silent, as they do not growl while asleep.
