One-Roof

One-Roof

One-Roof is a Vintage Story mod by tui_smuggler. One-Roof turns roofing into versatile single blocks with slopes, corners, ridges, eaves, trim, and customizable fill textures.

Why this mod is worth installing

This utility is useful for builders who want flexible roofs without managing many separate roof pieces. It is especially helpful for detailed houses, but creative testing is recommended before survival construction.

What One-Roof adds

One-Roof uses a placement-direction system to choose among several roof forms from a single block type. It supports slopes, outer and inner corners, ridges, and eaves, while sprinting changes the placement behavior for ridge and eave pieces.

Roof blocks can receive wooden trim by combining a hammer in the off-hand with boards in the hotbar. The trim was designed with clay roofing in mind, though it can also be applied to other roofing materials with varying visual results.

Dynamic variants can take their fill texture from the block beneath them, or you can assign a solid-sided block manually with a hammer. A hammer action can also force transparency, lock a roof piece to a chosen slope and orientation, or cycle corner settings in manual mode.

The mod includes conversion recipes between regular roofing and One-Roof blocks, plus simple hammers for early-game roof configuration. Inner corners may visibly combine several roof pieces because of a limitation in Vintage Story's building system.
