What Oregolems adds
Oregolems are hostile ore-based creatures found underground. Different variants provide different ores, so encountering one can supplement normal mining with a renewable source of materials.
They are not passive resource nodes: golems defend themselves when attacked and can make ore gathering a combat task. Their increased durability and aggressive behavior reward preparation before attempting to farm them.
The mod is designed to complement ordinary mining rather than replace it. A balanced approach is to place obtained ore blocks, break them, and process the material with a hammer as usual.
Oregolems also support taming with metal ingots, after which they can fight alongside the player and respond to several commands. The mod requires PetAI as its supporting dependency.
